Monachus are a superb Psych/Sludge/Post-Metal band who plays the same sort of great music as Mastodon, Neurosis, ISIS and Baroness. However, they make their own great blend of hard-hitting Psych based Sludge/Post-Metal music.

I have been a fan of these guys for years. As they used to be known as ICOS. But with the release of their amazing 3rd album “Out Of The Blue” they have decided to change their name to Monachus.
