EQUAL MINDS THEORY is a Progressive Metal/Grind/Mathcore Band from Russia
EQUAL MINDS THEORY is a Progressive Metal Band that plays some truly wonderful progressive metal band to truly stand out from the Prog Metal crowd. The guys really do add their own blend of superb stop-start Prog Metal riffs to proceedings.
Their new S/T album is simply amazing of an album. One of the best Prog-metal albums I have heard this year. Full of top-notch Progressive Metal Riffs with sublime singing as well.
It is an 11 song insane journey by this truly talented bunch of Prog-Metallers. It is great to see a band trying to forge their own identity in the realm of Progressive Metal.
The album is truly schizophrenic in tone and nature and I mean that in a good way. The riffs and vocals are never straight forward as the band throws a curve ball to throw the listener off before putting in some cool ambient sound effect to proceedings that comes out of nowhere.
The album is brilliantly produced. You can hear every twisted note played to perfection by the band. The distorted vocals are handled brilliantly as well.
Don’t let the simple album cover put you off as this is one of the most complex albums I have heard this year. Especially where the riffs and vocals are concerned. Simply sublime work by all involved.
Everybody needs to check out the top-notch tracks “Lost Cosmonauts” and the 14-minute epic brilliant track – “The Icebreaker.”
Both tracks show what this top-notch band does so well. Playing truly original riffs with haunting vocals to match.
“The Icebreaker” is an epic track that the band should rightly be praised for. Superbly played and put together. It feels like a lot of time and effort went in to creating this top-notch Prog-Metal track. Simply the best track on the album and one I recommend everyone to check out.
