The Skeletonz play a brutal blend of many genres but the main ones they fall into is Hardcore Punk and Stoner Metal.
Their new album – “The Outsider” is 11 slabs of heavy and brutal Hardcore Punk Driven high voltage Stoner Metal riffage. That is the best way to describe their sublime latest album. It’s fast, furious and angry as hell.
So if your into Stoner Metal with a superb Hardcore Punk edge then this album is for you. It’s jam-packed with Stoner-Metal/Hardcore Punk based riffs. And a few nods to other genres as well. All blended together into something that needs to be played at full volume.
The vocals and instrumental work are superb on this excellent album. Brilliantly produced and put together. It’s a shame I haven/t picked up on these guys much sooner.
But now that I have I am glad that I did. It was the album cover that drew me in to the album. Very intrigued I checked the album on their BandCamp Page and was amazed at the songs they have on this superb album.
I wasn’t expecting anything as heavy as the album is. I was expecting a straight up Hardcore Punk album. Not a fast and furious driven Stoner Metal album full of action packed carnage. As that’s what it is. Acton packed loud music from the word go that you won’t forget in a long while.
France are country with some superb Sludge/Stoner Metal bands coming through. Well you can now include The Skeletonz as one of the best Stoner Metal bands France has to offer.
Full of brilliant tracks which you need to check out for yourself. My fave track is the 8 minute epic “Me, Myself and I”.
You can own this epic beast of an album now for free from BandCamp. While your at it download their previous superb album for free as well. "Absinth For The Monkey".
