SULACO are a 4 Piece Sludge/Grindcore Band from Rochester NY
The members are:
Burke - Guitar, vocals.
Mason - Guitar
Crif - Drums
Spoth - Bass, vocals
SULACO play brutal and hard-hitting Sludge/Grindcore with a few nods to Hardcore Punk and Death Metal. Some of you might already know this band as they have released their last album “Tearing Through The Roots” back in 2006 on Relapse Records.
You may recognise Eric Burke from the line-up, as he is part of Grindcore veterans Brutal Truth. – But he used to be in Lethargy, which had two certain members of Mastodon in their ranks back in the day.

But anyway back to SULACO!!!
Well SULACO are back with their long-awaited new album – Build and Burn. A 7 song 35 minute brutal blast of Sludge/Grindcore greatness.
The guys might have waited 5 years to unleash their new masterpiece. But they are still as brutal, loud and angry as ever. But throwing in more prog-metal guitar riffs than ever before. This album is simply immense from start to finish. Brilliant from the word go. This is full of heavy pounding riffs across a whole range of genres. This album will amaze and delight you in equal measure.
Full of hard-hitting vocals, guitar riffs and drumming. I just fell in love with this album the first time I listened to it. The amount of talent this band has means this album needs to be heard as many people as possible.
Listen to “Dingy Metropolis” which has some of the best prog-metal riffs I have heard this year.
Superbly played and produced by all involved. This album will easily become one of your top 10 faves this year as it has for me. It is simply that brilliant.
Why this album is not being released by a bigger label is a crime in itself. But the guys at Handshake Inc deserve credit for releasing this album by a top-notch experimental metal band that transcends so many genres.
What is even better you can download this amazing landmark album from BandCamp Pay Anything You Want Type Deal. And I wholly recommend that you do. If you like what you hear let the guys know your appreciation by buying some merch.
This is experimental Sludge/Grindcore at it’s finest and most original. Highly recommended. Simply Awesome!!!
