THORUN are a brilliant Instrumental Sludge/Stoner Metal Band. Taking influence from a whole range of bands in the Sludge/Stoner Metal Scene but making their own mark of the world of Instrumental Sludge/Stoner Metal.

Well the guys are back with their superb new EP – “Chorus Of Giants”. A 6 song 33 minute thrill ride that demands your attention now!!!
THORUN have already built quite a superb reputation up in such a short space of time and it's hard not to see why.
Chorus Of Giants is THORUN’s best work yet. The riffs are heavier, louder and bolder in what has came before them. If THORUN can build upon this superb release then these guys will go far.
The guys have written some amazing riffs on show here. Especially on the 8 minute epic “Ivan The Terrible”. A song that can be called a THORUN classic. This is probably the guys best track they have written so far. Heavy, Loud and very atmospheric.
Another standout track is the 5:35 minute epic “Hipster Circle Pit”. A very cool and highly original song with top-notch Stoner Metal riffs played through out.
All of the other songs are superbly played and crafted. But it’s “Ivan The Terrible” and “Hipster Circle Pit” where the band show their brilliant talent and creativity to full effect.
Chorus Of Giants is a superb piece of work that the band should rightly be proud of. Superbly played and produced by everyone involved. This release shows why THORUN are one of the best UK Sludge/Stoner Metal bands has to offer.

It must be great for South Wales to have two of the UK’s best Instrumental Sludge/Stoner Metal Bands on their doorstep. THORUN and ZONDERHOOF. Maybe the guys can do a split with them in the future as they would suit each other brilliantly.
But they are still a top-class Instrumental Sludge/Stoner Metal Band in their own right that demands your attention now!!!
