Bio:

Sludge Metal Band from Buenos Aires, Argentina

Review:

Montañas is a band who blend Sludge, Stoner and Doom Metal for one frantic fast-paced out of body experience with their superb debut S/T EP.

South America has a habit of providing ourselves with great Sludge, Doom an Stoner Metal bands to check out and Montañas are no exception. Their debut EP is a blast of huge riffs from start to finish. When you add the powerful and emotionally charged vocals to the mix you have the recipe for a stunning EP to check out.

It's great that the band have a sound of their own and don't try to imitate any other bands sound. Montañas style of music has a progressive hardcore based vibe to it especially on the 6 minute epic Páramo. Though the EP really comes to life on tracks such as Atlántico and Ennio as the band prove they have some great riffs to impress you with.

Montañas are big on ideas and riffs so check out this brilliant EP as it's available for free download from BandCamp now. You won't be be sorry.

A stunning debut EP from a band I definitely want to hear more of in the future.
