The Sludgelord News: Old Witch//Keeper Split Cassette Pre-orders Up NOW & Track Stream

CVLT Nation is happy to announce their first ever physical release in conjunction with the renowned tape labels, Grimoire Cassette Cvlture – a split they describe as ‘going to take the world of heavy music by storm’. Their new collaboration label called Grim CVLT are set to release their debut cassette only release and it is a stunning, massive, corrosive audio plague from two young bands, a split between Old Witch from Ontario, Canada and Keeper from California whom we have featured twice on the site. According to CVLT Nation, this split will surpass the high expectations we know you have for these two amazing bands! Grim CVLT will issued this cassette as an initialy limited first run of 200 cassettes – 150 black with silver imprint and 50 clear with silver imprint. Each cassette will come in its own matte black box with a silver embossed cover, and will include a download code. Pre-orders started yesterday at grimcvlt.bandcamp.com, and the release date is July 15th.

But wait, that is not all. Today NOISEY premiered a track off the split, Old Witch's "The Vague Fears That Bother My Waking Life Regarding The Inevitability Of Death And What May Or May Not Lie Beyond", with Kim Kelly saying that Old Witch's "feedback-heavy dirges ooze past the line between sludge and funeral doom...it's music that shudders along painfully, methodically, like a sick man walking to the gallows." You can check out the track listing and debut track below
