SINGLE MOTHERS

Indian Pussy cover art

Single Mothers is an Experimental Stoner/Sludge/Folk/Shoegaze Metal Band from Midland, GA, USA

Single Mothers is the work of one highly disturbed individual - Harry Cloud. Single Mothers is a very difficult band/act to describe. Their bandcamp Page describes them as an experimental psychedelic shoegaze sludge stoner metal band.

Well they are that and are fucking crazy to boot. Not insane crazy just bat shit crazy. But the more brilliant for it. Their new album "Indian Pussy" is an 7 song almost 35 minute blast of top-notch out there experimental Sludge/Stoner Metal.

First track "Reality Blockers" sounds like a Neil Young ambient cast-off track. This is probably the most straight forward of the tracks. After then it goes really insane and very heavy to boot.

Single Mothers is the bastard offspring of The Melvins, Mr Bungle and even Torche at times. It shouldn't work but it fucking does. Harry has released a highly brilliant and original collection of tracks.

Especially the 8 minute epic - White Lightnin Sun. Think of your favourite genre of music and Harry turns it on its head. One minute brutally heavy an the next an anthemic Stoner Rock song like Helicopter which would fit brilliantly on a Torche release.

So if you like the sound of this. Head over to BandCamp right now and download this truly wonderful slice of Experimental Sludge/Stoner Mteal on Pay Anything You Want Type Deal.

You will be pleasantly surprised. A great album by a hugely talented individual.
