Apparently
these awesome as fuck band – Instant Boner – have contacted me
previously to review their debut EP – Perfect Sunday. The mail must
of got lost in transit as I would of featured these guys sooner.
Instant Boner despite the dodgy band name are actually a cool as fuck
Psychedelic Stoner Rock band from Greece. Greece seems to be next
place to be to provide us with great Stoner Metal bands to check out.
What
makes Instant Boner different to their fellow countrymen is the
soulful vocals of Kostas. Kostas vocals has a soulful edge with power
to match. Damn this dude can sing. What about the rest of the band.
Well if you're a fan of Kyuss, Fu Manchu and all the other legendary
Desert/Stoner Rock bands then you're going to love these guys.
Instant Boner's debut EP – Perfect Sunday – is 30 minutes of
finely tuned sun drenched Stoner/Desert Rock riffs with a great
sideline of Psych/Blues Rock to standout from the crowd.
4
of the 5 songs run for around 4 minutes and it shows the band know
how to write a highly energetic stoner rock riff to rock out to.
Though it's the epic 13 minute title track that made me a fan of
Instant Boner as they venture into progressive rock/metal territory
that harks back to the days of 70s Stadium Rock. Though the Stoner
Rock/Metal vibe is still there for everyone to chill out and smoke a
BONG to.
My
advice – headover to Bandcamp and download Perfect Sunday now as
its available on Buy Now Download. You won't be sorry. This EP is
perfect to listen to every day of the week.
