AMBER - Lovesaken

Lovesaken cover art

AMBER are a Post-Metal Band from Marburg, Germany

The members are:

Jakob - Drums
Christian - Guitar
Dennis - Guitar
Tobias - Bass
Anna - Vocals

Amber is a band that I have featured before and who I am big fan of when I featured their excellent debut album last year.

Well Amber are back with their stunning new album - Lovesaken - which continues the excellent hard-hitting Sludge/Post-Metal riffs left over from their excellent debut album. Though this time Amber are heavier than ever before.

First track - Kings Like Us - prove that Amber have got what it takes to be one of the leading lights in the Sludge/Post-Metal scene. It's an action packed song full of hard-hitting riffs that will tug at the heartstrings. Anna's vocals are impressive as ever.

The album's remaining 4 tracks follow the same brilliant and heavy pounding path that Kings Like Us set out previously. If your into Isis, Neurosis, Cult Of Luna and Pelican then your going to love it.

The album's best track has to be the 10:25 minute title track - Lovesaken. A track that will you instantly fall in love with. It has a brilliant uplifting Post-Rock vibe matched with the heavier Sludge/Post-Metal riffage the band are masters at.

Anna is on top-form here. She makes you care about the songs you are listening to. Full of emotion and passion that gives the album an extra edge of humanity.

Lovesaken is a brilliant album you need to check out now. As it's available on BandCamp Pay Now Deal. Amber are one of Germany's best Post-Metal bands but on this form they could become one of the scene's very best bands if they continue on this form.

Excellent and Highly Recommended.
