brains, monkeys and the new world order cover art

NOM aka Nuisance of Majority is a Punk/Doom/Stoner Metal band from Germany

The members are:

Wolle (voc/git)
Manu (drums)
Holle (git)
Tim (bass)
feat. Capt. Koch

So here is another excellent band from Germany. Been a while since I featured one. Wall and The Moth are just two recent examples why I am a fan of the German Stoner/Sludge/Doom Metal scene. Now I have NOM thrusted upon me as they contacted me via Facebook.

I am ashamed to say I had not even heard this band before they contacted me, which is quite surprising since they have been going for over a decade and have released three albums so far. It looks like they have had a few line-up changes over the years but which band has not. It doesn’t deter from the fact that NOM are a great band for you all to check out now.

Their third album – Brains, Monkeys and the New World Order – is a huge blast of immense riffs being thrown at you from every direction. Original – Nope. But NOM’s blend of Punk Inspired Doom/Stoner Metal riffage has been built for one thing. And that is too – ROCK OUT!!!

The album is only on for 35 mins or so. It gets straight down to business of breaking your fragile world with their hard-hitting powerful riffs. The album has a violent punk rock edge matched against the Stoner Metal riffs on show. It’s fast, furious and relentless from start to finish. You might need to press pause just to catch your breath.

Check out excellent tracks – Man Of Vision, Machine, Whatever and Deconstruction of Humanity. All showing what this great band are all about. Loud and angry 100mph fast paced Stoner Metal riffs that go straight for the jugular. It also helps that NOM have a great tongue in cheek style to their music as well. Even though its fast paced it will definitely leave a smile on your face.

So sit back and enjoy some good old-fashioned Punk Inspired Doom/Stoner Metal carnage to brighten or destroy your entire day. Just depends on what mood you’re in.

Excellent and Highly Recommended.
