Review:

I can't believe that Idealus Maximus have been around for 10 years and they have just now released their S/T debut album. As this album is simply put – FUCKIN AWESOME!!! - If you're a fan of Karma To Burn, Sedulus, Monkey3 and Sardonis then this is the album for you. It's a hard rocking instrumental pile-driver packed full of gigantic RIFFS!!!

Tracks such as Allokapeeps and Torus prove that Idealus Maximus bring a lot of groove to the party to stand out from the crowd. Their style of instrumental stoner rock needs to be played LOUD right from the very start. It's what the album is intended for. Played at loud dangerous volumes for you to rock out to.

Idealus Maximus powerful style of sounds more than matches the vibes some of the legendary bands mentioned above. It's a heavy pounding affair that will surely get your heart rate pumping to match the fast paced intense riffs the band have in store for you.

Idealus Maximus do add elements of Fuzz Rock and Desert Rock to their music to show they know how to experiment with their sound when the mood calls for it. Check out Dust for prime evidence of this. One of the albums stand-out tracks that starts very slowly before exploding into gigantic noises of Stoner Metal riffs that will transport you to the legendary hot Californian Desert Sun.

The album is expertly produced and played by all involved. There is a lot of soulful groove going on amongst the riffs. It gives the album such a hard-rocking edge. My advice is plain and simple – Headover to BandCamp and download this now as it's a truly wonderful album you will be coming back to time and time again.

Awesome. End Of.
