"No Omega is hopeless and heartbreaking doomsday hardcore punk. Sincetheir forming in 2010, No Omega have been working hard on creating a sound that's both vibrant and melancholic. The idea of No Omega is to fuse a furious hardcore sound with a sludgier, more dark, melodic and resolute post-metal sound. No Omega always aim at writing something new; something that doesn't sound like everything else. The guitars are heavy, the vocals are filled with power and emotion, and the drums shift between straight up thrash/punk to lumbering and brooding metal.
Second album "Shame" will be out on 12" vinyl and CD through renowned French label Throatruiner Records in Spring 2013. A lot has happened since 2010 and the band has managed to create a pretty solid foundation to build upon. Both the music and the lyrics are more experienced. It's a lot more polished and finished, in a fashion. The love for experimenting is still there. The love for expressing angst and fixating on the darker and more negative aspects of life is still there. The love for heavy and melodic post/modern hardcore is still there. 2013 will be a year of constant touring and taking No Omega to the next level.

No Omega are a sublime brutal and brilliant band who transcend so many genres. They manage to fit in Crust, Black Metal, Post-Hardcore, Sludge, Noise and Post-Metal to their blend of hard-hitting riffs. You cannot fit them into any one genre as they include them all but still managing to be very hard to describe.
They have just released their amazing new album - Shame - via Throatruiner Records which is becoming one of our fave ever labels at the moment.
Shame is a hard-hitting and bleak as fuck affair that will have you standing on edge. The album maybe only on for less than 31 minutes but what a fucking ride it is. Frantic guitars battling with intense vocals give this album a dark and unsettling edge meaning one listen is never enough.
The songs are delivered at a breakneck pace. At times the listener might feel they are in a boxing match and getting the fuck knocked out of them by a much smarter and more dangerous opponent. Especially on sublime tracks - Woodlands Pt 1, Utopianist, Below and Woodlands Pt 2.
This is simply an unforgiving and unflinching masterpiece of any genre. No Omega deserve praise for going this dark. And I loved every disturbing minute of it. Damn. I still feel shaken after listening to this excellent album.
You can't pass this by. It's seriously that brilliant. You know it is. They are signed to Throatruiner Records for fucks sake. A mark of quality in my book!!!
