The Sludgelord Video Exclusive: BTK (Bind Torture Kill) - Abattage

BTK, acronym of Bind Torture Kill, was born in France in 2007, near Lyon. The band’s objective – since the very first day - is to practice a darkened, raging, violent music. With songs screamed in French, they uphold this constant, the texts tell of neutral crimes of serial killers or various remarkable bloody feats. The very varied influences that align with the hardcore/post-hardcore, the death metal and grindcore (Converge, Ken Mode, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Pantera, Entombed, Napalm Death...) are digested and knowingly mixed to give the band a personal style: brutal hardcore and death riffs, rapid tempos and complex structures, close to mathcore.

The band, which gained in maturity, conserves in violence and in speed but still takes the time to work with more darkened atmospheres and sounds that give the whole piece a more blackness feel. The structures of the pieces are in general more direct and the main effort was focused on effectiveness and intention. This album aims to be more effective and oppressing, its objective being to bring BTK to promote its music to the maximum and to continue to work more as they perfect their vision.

It is our pleasure to host the debut video “Abattage” from their debut full length “"Condamné", which we reviewed here.
