March The Desert is a Psych based Doom/Sludge/Stoner Metal band who have been around since 2007 but have now finally released their excellent S/T debut album.

The album is a 6 song and 33 minute blast of sublime lo-fi Sludge/Stoner/Doom Metal riffs with a great DIY edge to it. The sound might be a bit low but that shouldn't distract from what a great album this is.

If your a fan of old-school 70s rock then you will find much to enjoy here as the guys have mixed it with superb modern day based Sludge/Stoner Metal riffs. This will get any Sludge/Stoner Metal fan head-banging in no time at all.

The first track - March - is a highly infectious 7 minute blast of heavy riffage with excellent vocals to match. It  shows straight away what these guys are all about. Riffs, Riffs and more Riffs to rock the fuck out to.

It might not be the most original of sounds but you can't deny how talented March The Desert actually are. As they have written some great lyrics to match the action packed riffs.

The vocals could have done with some extra oomph and volume to them just to make them stand out a little bit more. As Sam is a great singer. I would of loved to hear him that little bit louder to match the great music on show here.

That complaint aside I thought this was a great release to showcase March The Desert talents. These guys sound like they would go down a storm on the live venue.

All in all a fucking superb release from a band really did surprise me. I can't wait to hear what these guys have in store for in the future.

You can download the album on BandCamp Pay Now Deal. Highly Recommended.
