COAT

SWAMP cover art

Coat is a Sludge/Stoner Metal Band from Minsk, Belarus

The members are:

Take - Drums
Hair - Bass
Kindman - Guitar
Dope Jo - Guitar
Pigmy - Vocals

Coat - Not the most exciting of names for a Sludge/Stoner Metal Band is it. That's what I thought until I saw the cool album cover and I listened to the first track - Pure Coat to get my first taste of COAT.

FUCK ME!!! - Wait till the riffs come flying at you. Down-tempo Sludge Metal greatness.... I was hooked from the first riff. If you're a fan of Kyuss, Sleep and High On Fire then your going to be in Sludge/Stoner Metal heaven for the next 50 mins or so.

COAT have a brilliant lo-fi vibe to their music with heavy psychedelic elements thrown in for good measure. The excellent vocals add a creepy atmosphere to the album which gives the band a slight Occult/Doom type vibe. All adding up for an incredible ride.

Hidden Hands is up next and starts with a distorted drone ambient noise before the awesome riffs kick in once again around the 2 minute mark. So strap yourselves in again for more top-notch Sludge/Stoner Metal riffage.

Up next is the best track on the album - No Regrets - A 11:30 minute epic full of creepy atmospherics and those pesky critters called RIFFS. It's full of them. They are everywhere and you can't ignore them, even if you wanted to. This has a bruising supersonic feel to it. It starts quietly before exploding into a loud wall of noise. Play this track at maximum volume.

The band continue this brutal and brilliant carnage of destruction until the very end. Heavy as fuck amazing Sludge/Stoner Metal riffs of the highest order.

They may not have the most exciting names but damn COAT have delivered one of the most exciting albums of 2013.

You can own this brilliant album yourself as it's available on BandCamp Buy Now Download. You can't ignore this album if you are a serious Sludge/Stoner Metal fan. Just headover and download this now. You won't be sorry....

Brilliant and Highly Recommneded.
