Wicked Inquisition say it best to describe their blend of Doom Metal - Doom metal from Minnesota with heavy riffs and 70's vibes. For fans of Black Sabbath, Budgie, Trouble, Saint Vitus, etc.
So if you're a fan of those legendary bands then no doubt your going to go ape-shit over Wicked Inquisition. As these guys fucking rule. Their S/T debut EP is a stunning collection of hard rocking riffs. Yeah shame it's only on 16 mins but what an action packed 16 mins they are. The band include as many excellent riffs as possible.
Especially on The Jester's Crown and Brainstorm. They don't have the most original of sounds but what they do have in their favour is plenty of attitude which gives Wicked Inquisition a superb hard rocking edge.
The band are an impressive unit indeed. All the members playing off each other like their lives depended on it. Wicked Inquisition bring their 70s Doom Inspired Rock kicking and screaming into the 21st Century and it's another reason to check this excellent band out.
They already have an impressive fan base within the Doom Metal world and I can only see this getting bigger once more people have heard this brilliant EP. Check out the excellent track - Radius Of Fear - which sees the band taking a darker turn compared to the earlier tracks. And it's a welcome change as these guys prove they are masters of the riff. Especially when they bring some finely tuned NWOBHM style carnage to the table.
