Review:

Poland’s finest dealers of Doom and Stoner Metal – Dopelord are back with their new album. Black Arts, Riff Worship & Weed Cult. And it is a stunning blast of Stoner/Doom metal that will have you hooked before the very first note is even played. As the band, add a superb audio clip to get you in the mood on opening track – Addicted to Black Magick.

From then on in the album turns into one epic ride of riffs, that plays out like a sinister trip that will take over your entire mind, body and soul. As they lay down some brilliant riffs. This is one of the most addictive Doom/Stoner Metal albums I have had the pleasure to listen to this year. You will be amazed the amount of ideas that Dopelord have included here as they have let their imaginations ran wild on the album. I urge you not to feel moved by the brilliant riffs of Preacher Electrick, Green Plague and Pass The Bong.  All 3 epic tracks that will have you begging for more.

It may feel and sound like your typical Doom/Stoner Metal band but I advise you to take a further look as this album has something very different about it. Dopelord have created one heck of an album that you will not easily forget. The lyrics have a creepy demonic feel that only adds to the overall atmosphere.

If you are a fan of Black Sabbath and Electric Wizard though with extra layers of demonic fuzz then this is the album for you. This album is starting to makes waves within the Doom/Stoner Metal scene and on this form; it is not hard to see why. I have gone on long enough. This album is a must have release. No question.

Outstanding. End Of.

The album is available to buy on BandCamp on CD and DD now. Thanks to the band for sending me a copy to review.
