Bio:

Anyone who ever saw Tangled Horns live will tell you that energy, raw power and love for the blues are the cornerstones for these five rascals from Antwerp, Belgium. After the smashing EP and the roaring live reputation, Tangled Horns released long anticipated debut album: ‘KLANG’. ‘KLANG’ combines the best of grunge, stoner, blues and rock. Very suitable indeed for fans of Nirvana, (The) Melvins, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Soundgarden.

With the savoir-faire, from playing with bands (in past or present) such as The Stitch, Diablo Blvd, You Raskal You, The New Industry, Jiving Sister Fanny, ThunderHeartMachine and OneXmore; the members of Tangled Horns will sink their teeth in any stage they come across. Playing live, for Tangled Horns, is the ultimate party. As you will hear on the album being released onto the world right now. And who wants to come party along is very welcome.

Keep an eye on the tour schedule. Tangled Horns will cross your path. Sooner or later …

Review:

Tangled Horns are back to unleash more of their highly infectious hybrid style of Grunge, Stoner, Blues and Noise Rock. Their new album – Immovable Object – is a 5 song and 26 minute blast of hard-rocking riffs that will have you rocking out in no time at all

Tangled Horns don't mess about here on the new album as opening track – Monument – is a throwback to the grunge scene of the 1990's with a song that has plenty of bite and groove added to the mix. The Stoner Rock riffs though is where the band really excel as they prove what great song-writers they are.

Second track – Immovable Object – sees the band go into darker territory by bring elements of different styles of rock for one great mysterious ride. Tim feels like he is on a spiritual journey of some sort and it's a journey you're more than willing to take as the band play some intense grunge based riffs that will last long in the memory.

Third Track – Heavy Is The Head – is blues based little number that starts with a sublime blues slide guitar lurking in the background showing there is much more to Tangled Horns sound before they start adding some heavy riffage to the part. Definitely one of the albums stand out tracks.

Though it's the next track where Tangled Horns earn their money as the have included an almost 9 minute epic called Monolith. Monolith by name and Monolith by nature. An epic style of grunge, hard rock, blues and stoner riffs that will leave you in a daze. This is a fucking superb track to rock out to which has shades of early Soundgarden to it especially the vocals which are highly impressive indeed.

All in all this is a superb release from Tangled Horns. Shame it wasn't on that little bit longer but there are plenty of riffs to entertain the hell out of you.

Excellent and Highly Recommended.

Thanks to Jan for sending me a promo to review. Immovable Object will be available to buy from April 26th 2014.
