Valfader are an excellent metal band blending Sludge, Stoner and Post-Metal to great effect. They list their influences as Isis, Mastodon and other great bands but Valfader have a great style all of their own. Their debut album – Whispers Of Chaos – is simply a brilliant debut album you all need to check out now. 4 tracks that runs for a blistering 35 mins or so. The perfect time to make you a fan of these hugely talented Sludge Rockers.

I have posted these on the SL Facebook Page twice now since the start of this week. And it seems you are a fan of them as much as I am.

First track – Whispers Of Chaos – is an 8-minute blast full of great riffs to headbang to. It shows what a talented bunch of musicians the guys actually are. All playing off each other with expert knowledge and relevant ease. Some sublime riffs are to be found here. It’s an instrumental track that mixes all of the genres brilliantly well. A great start to the album.

Green Sleeps is another 8-minute heavy slab of pure sublime Stoner/Post-Metal/Sludge riffage, which the band instantly draw you into. Vocalist Dean shows he has a great voice to match the excellent music on show. Vocalist is what I call a real vocalist. He sings from the heart and proves he has a real distinct edge about him. This is singing at it’s most raw and honest. It gives you another reason to check out this great band. This song has a very early TAINT vibe about at times and this is no bad thing in my book.

The next two tracks is where the band propel the album onto another level. D.M.T and Sacred Spiral run both run past the 10-minute mark so expect more heavy atmospheric Sludge/Stoner Metal riffs with intense vocals to match. The final 21 minutes here prove that Valfader have a very bright future indeed.

The riffs come thick & fast and are played on an epic scale. So much so it’s simply impossible not to be moved by heavy pounding riffs on show.

If you miss the good old days of Taint then Valfader are going to be right up your street. I loved this album from the very first listen. It’s already getting a great response from the Sludge/Stoner Metal crowd and its definitely a band you should all check out now before all the free downloads on BandCamp run out.

As Valfader have this album currently available on Pay Now Download on BandCamp. But hurry up before they run out as they are selling out fast. You might have to wait until next month to download it again.

All in all Valfader have released a brilliant debut album that deserves your attention now. This will be all over the other blogs in the many weeks to come. But get a headstart now and check out this amazing band now.

Brilliant and Highly Recommended.
