Solo instrumental musician based in Melbourne. All round Sludge/Stoner/Post-Metal/Doom Metal Maestro

The world's finest one-man instrumental whirlwind that is Judd Madden is back bigger, louder and better than ever before with his stunning new album – Everything in Waves.

We are huge fans of Judd Madden at Sludgelord HQ. We have reviewed nearly all of his releases on the blog and interviewed the great man himself. He designed the album cover for our infamous SludgelordParalysis Vol 1 Download Compilation. So yeah we both have a great deal of history with each other.

So has anything changed with Judd's music on his new musical opus. In my opinion, it has. Judd has added more layers of sonic destruction to his music. It's a lot more louder and clearer than his previous albums. The musical vibes have a greater sense of purpose with the music telling a beautiful and captivating story even if there are no vocals.

The blurb on Bandcamp states the following: “Reality, energy, perception, matter, cosmos. Everything is amazing and we're here to experience it.” - This is another album from Judd that will question your very own reality. Maybe I am getting too philosophical with Judd's music but he does have a great talent of making you think when listening to his music.

So lets get down to business. If you're already a fan of Judd's music you can expect riffs that will last a lifetime. A stirring collection of Doom, Sludge, Post-Metal and Stoner Metal riffs that establishes Judd as one of the finest instrumentalists within the Doom/Sludge/Stoner Metal scene. It may sound similar to some of his long-time fans but give it another listen and you will start to find new ambient based sounds that Judd has never played before especially on Redshift & Knowing, Colour & Theory, Emission Lines and Memory Only Atoms.

The album has it's fair share of epic tracks that run past the 9 minute mark. So if you're a fan of epic songs with intelligence and depth to match then this is the album for you. This is Judd's 7th album in 4 years. I don't know how he does this but he hasn't made a bad album yet. All of his albums are brilliant. Headover to BandCamp and download them all now. You won't be sorry. If you're feeling generous then you can donate a few bucks as well.

If you're a fan of Pelican, Russian Circles. Earth, Karma To Burn and Neurosis then Judd is going to rock your world. He is a true original and a highly talented artist in his own right.

Everything In Waves is truly stunning. Headover to BandCamp and download this now. You won't be sorry.

Awesome and Highly Recommended.
