Review:

Here is band that took me by surprise as the contacted me recently to check out their debut release – Memories of Dying. A stunning 30 minute release that you will need patience for. Don't go expecting fast paced riffs as Silence The Father deal in slow-paced drone based Sludge/Stoner Metal riffs. They are strictly a drum and bass duo.

The music is very doom and gloom with Kurt's vocals adding more despair to the atmosphere. Imagine a more stripped down version of Eagle Twin and that's what you have with Silence The Father. It's a challenging ride but one that will provide many rewards if you have the patience for it.

All of the tracks follow the same structure. Slow paced riffs played at a loud volume especially when Kurt unleashes some epic riffs on the bass guitar. And when Kurtis unleashes hell on earth on the drums you better stand back and feel the full force of it all.

Check this out if you want something different to listen to. Memories Of Dying is a highly atmospheric ride into the darkness where there are no easy answers.

Silence The Father is now available to download on BandCamp Buy Now.

Excellent and Highly Recommended.
