ANTI-MORTEM: Lyric Video and Album Details Revealed!

The saviours of southern-infused hard rock, ANTI-MORTEM, have released a lyric video for brand new track “Words of Wisdom” here:http://youtu.be/5sZXVP3H04E. The song comes from the group’s upcoming debut release New Southern, which was produced, recorded and mixed by the legendary Bob Marlette (BLACK STONE CHERRY, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, SHINEDOWN, ROB ZOMBIE). New Southern will be released April 14 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment, shortly before the band blast away your cobwebs at this June's DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL.

What the American hard rock/metal scene needs right now is an infusion of youth and new blood coursing through its veins! Enter ANTI-MORTEM and their barn-stormin' debut record, New Southern. With over 300 shows to their name already, this Oklahoma quintet has an average age of just 21-years-old. ANTI-MORTEM were raised on southern rock and heavy metal and are hungry to make an impact! The band ooze bottom-heavy and groove-laden heavy rock anthems. And, as with all the metal greats they've learned from, a modern sense of melody infuses every track. The Sludgelord News : Bloodstock Latest

BLOODSTOCK is slowly becoming the best festival for the discerning metal head and in 2014 they have outdone themselves again, now adding their three headline acts for the Sophie Lancaster Big Top stage.  

Friday’s Sophie stage headliners are Greek extreme metal overlords ROTTING CHRIST previously reviewed on the blog last year and making Richard Maw's year end list of 2013.  ROTTING CHRIST are one of the pioneering black metal bands, forming back in ‘87 and going on to create their own unique signature, setting them apart from their peers. The band will touring Japan and Thailand in early 2014, and are no doubt looking forward to headlining the Sophie stage at BLOODSTOCK, commenting “Proudly on the roster of one of Bloodiest festivals around! It will be an honour to perform for our English Metal brothers. Sunday’s Sophie headliners are the reunited classic NWOBHM shredders, SATAN. In summation, BLOODSTOCK 2014 is quite possibly set to be  the biggest and best one yet, with tickets selling out in record time and weekend tickets flying out the door!  Sludgelord approved DOWN  are the Friday Night  headliners.  I trust you need no introduction.
