Way back in July 2013, The Sludgelord
reviewed the EP “Hand of Glory” by
today’s featured band The Lumberjack Feedback, remarking
that “If you like your doom crushing and epic- and fancy trying something a
bit different then why not give this excellent band a try? It ticks all the
boxes and offers a rather unique slant on a familiar sound” Indeed when
we think of most of today’s “Doom” bands is it rare that you find something
truly unique, The Lumberjack Feedback
on the other hand stand out with a dual drummer attack and a purely instrumental
approach to their music, demonstrating a certain joie de vivre, but retaining a thirst for propulsive and skull
crushing riffs.
Finally as we enter
the New Year 2016, The
Lumberjack Feedback are ready to unleash their debut full length
unto thee, entitled “Blackened Visions”. With crystal clear
recording thanks to the Electrik Box studio (SEKTEMTUM,
INSAIN…) and benefitting from the mastering wizardry of Colin
Marston (GORGUTS, KRALLICE…). “Blackened Visions” is a compelling listen and
exhibits utterly progressive and forward-thinking cinematic songwriting, as a
result their music crushes genre boundaries incorporating elements of Post
Rock, Sludge Metal, Doom Metal, or Stoner Rock into
one truly unique record
“Blackened
Visions” will be released via Kaotoxin on January 15th
and will be available on CD//DD//LP here and today it gives us great pleasure to
present The Lumberjack Feedback’s debut self titled
video from that album in conjuction with Dooweet PR and Noisey. Check it out
