Death
Alley is a band of rock n’ rollers from Amsterdam. Their debut album, “Black
Magick Boogieland,” has been on my list of most anticipated albums of 2015.
Upon its release in May on TeePee Records (review here), the band hasn’t sat still, playing songs all
across the country. The album also made The Sludgelord’s Sour 16 (here) and kudos to them for getting a small feature
in Playboy, too. This past June, Death Alley celebrated the release of their
album with a party at Amsterdam’s Paradiso. The show was an exhibition of
top-notch guitar playing played to a punk beat, all the while being driven by
confrontational vocals. I had the opportunity to sit down with the singer Douwe
and bassist Dennis before the show to talk about the bands they came from, the
making of the album, their relationship with TeePee, and Robbie Williams. You
