TORPOR are a Sludge/Noise/Post-Metal Band relatively new to the scene only forming in March 2012. They band recently contacted me to check out their music. And boy was I fucking impressed.
This is what they had to say about their band and style of music.
"We play sludge/noise metal with influences from Kowloon Walled City, Will Haven, Deftones and Neurosis among others. We've new to the London sludge scene this year, but have played most recently with RSJ, Diesel King, Lifer, Limb and Gurt at the When Planets Collide 2nd Birthday Party."
Bled Dry is brilliantly produced as you can hear every distorted note and riff played to ear-shattering perfection.
Check out excellent tracks - Bled Dry, Ashes and Blackened Lungs - which show what this band does brilliantly well. Pissed Off Angry vocals from Nats backed up by a great set of musicians who all know how to play a mighty fine Noise/Sludge Metal riff. Blended with the intensity of a great Post-Metal vibe.
