So two of Ireland's finest Heaviest Doom/Stoner Metal bands have decided to release a split single. Astralnaut and Weed Priest have joined forces to release 17 minutes of great music. If you're a fan of both bands already then you're going to dig this release. As it features both bands on fine heavy and demented form.

Up first is Astralnaut with the heavy as sin – Parasitic. An epic 9 minute blast which sees the band venture into murky Stoner Psychedelics with the band releasing their heaviest material so far. I'm liking this new style of music from Astralnaut. It gives them a more menacing presence with the heavy riffs especially when the creepy psych rock vibe takes over. It has more of a doom and gloom vibe compared to other Astralnaut tracks. Give this one a spin and see these guys in a brand new demented light!!!

Up next is Weed Priest. Another band who I've been a fan of for a very long time. Nothing much has changed with Weed Priest's sound. They are still the same creepy as hell psychotic band of doom-dwellers. Graveyard Planet is the heaviest of the two tracks and possibly my fave of the two songs. Adam on Vocals just slays on this release. His vocals add a real sense of madness and torture going on through your headphones. The riffs are loud, mean and nasty as their blend of music is played a slow to mid pace that gives the song plenty time to breathe and grow as a result. If you're a fan of Electric Wizard and Black Sabbath then this track will appeal to you.

Astralnaut and Weed Priest have released a superb split single which sits well with their other great releases. Check it out now.

Excellent and Highly Recommended.
