Bio:
Stoner
rock band from Brazil. Founded in 2013 in Maringá - PR. They just
released their first EP in march 2014. There's a lot of influences in
Medita's music, their idea is to make some kind of mind-expanding
rock/metal for stoned ears.

Review:
Medita is a Psychedelic
Stoner Rock Band who have just released their S/T debut EP. And what
an EP it is. A 20 minute EP packed full of superb Psychedelic Stoner
Rock Riffs. Who cares that the vocals are sung in the band's own
language. You can still rock out the excellent music that the band
have perfectly created that ventures from Psychedelic Rock, Art Rock
and back to Stoner Rock.
The EP's main two epic
10 minute tracks will have you coming back for more. Even though the
EP has a raw feel to it you can't deny how talented this hard-rocking
power trio actually is. Medita do add elements of FUZZ to their music
at times and things do get very loud and melodic as well.
Medita say their music
is best listen to with Stoned Ears. Whatever that means. OK we all
know what it means You can listen to this superb EP in whatever mood
or state your in. As it's a wonderful powerfully trippy ride that
will take you to the cosmos in the comfort of you're own
surroundings.
There are some
excellent jam-based riffs to be found here especially on SOL. Imagine
Karma To Burn jamming out with Earthless and that's how you would
perfectly describe Medita's sound though Medita do add vocals here
and there with frontman Rômulo
on majestic form throughout.
All
in all this is a superb EP to check out and a great introduction to
another great band from the South American Stoner Rock scene. I can't
wait to hear what these guys come up with next.
