Bio:

"It's like These Arms Are Snakes got drunk and fucked Isis circa Oceanic album and the resulting baby was birthed to Led Zeppelin covers done by Cave In/Old Man Gloom."

We put down the bong and picked up the guitars in the summer of 2011. The following spring, we brought the guitars and the bong into the recording studio, and the touring van shortly thereafter.

The fruit of the former labor is our self-titled début album, available physically in a limited run of 250 LPs and digitally at http://slowmover.bandcamp.com/ .

We also play or have previously played in Serpent Throne, Pray For Polanski, Effzero, Harris Hawk, and Red Devil, among a zillion others.

Review:

Slow Mover's own description of their music is perfectly described.

"It's like These Arms Are Snakes got drunk and fucked Isis circa Oceanic album and the resulting baby was birthed to Led Zeppelin covers done by Cave In/Old Man Gloom."

As that's what you get on their excellent début album – Move Slower – which the album doesn't do not even for a second. As Slow Mover's style of fast paced punk driven Stoner Metal riffs will leave you in a daze. Slow Mover's music feels like a high powered energy drink turning your tired world-weary body into an unstoppable out-of-control party machine.

It's the only way I can describe the album as it has too many great riffs to mention despite the short 30 minute time. You know what, strike that last comment. 30 minutes is more than enough time for Slow Mover to make you a fan of their turbo charged riffs.

First track – Home – shows what Slow Mover is all about and that is to rock out and have loads of fun at the same time. Damn these guys can write awesome action packed riffs with great lyrics to match. I was singing along to this album from the start. It's got a huge likability factor that is very hard to ignore. Just embrace the manic energy that Slow Mover excel in.

Slow Mover do show a serious edge to their music as they do include some furious riffs on the album. Check out excellent tracks – Crane Collapse, Chainsaw Crew and SFCA.

I don't want to spoil anything else for you as you need to discover this excellent band and album for yourselves. But trust me when I say you're in for a wild ride indeed.

It's available to download on Buy Now Download on BandCamp now. I recommend you head over there now and download this now. Donate if you're feeling generous as Slow Mover are an incredible band. Plain and Simple.

You can also download their excellent S/T début album from BandCamp as well.

Excellent and Highly Recommended.
