Review:
Here
is something different to check out. A Heavy-blues/stoner/doom duo
from Omsk, Russia to check out. They already have a full length
record to check out – Eagles and Lions from 2012. Now they have a
new EP to check out as well.
It's
only on for 11 minutes or so but it has got a lot of soul to it and
some hard-rocking riffs when these guys throw caution to the wind and
say – FUCK IT, TIME TO ROCK OUT. Especially on the blues-hard rock
track – Never Know – which is drenched in blues rock riffs with a
little bit of Stoner Rock for added edge.
Though
it's the 5 minute blast of Zombie-Ride With The Devil where the band
show their true identity. Crazy vocals and riffs combine for one
hugely entertaining track that will have you rocking out in no time
at all.
This
band maybe an accquired taste for some but they are getting some
praise from the Stoner Rock scene so Groggy are definitely worth
checking out as they are really doing something different. I hear
they are working on their second album. When that bad-boy arrives I
will definitely be giving that album a spin.
Anyway
check these guys out. A great band and highly recommended.
