God's Speed - Band To Check Out

...And This Will Soon Pass Cover Art

God's Speed is a one-man Psych/Sludge/Doom Metal Band from Huntington, WV, USA.

I was contacted by Jason who is the creative genius behind God's Speed. Jason is also part of the brilliant Psych/Doom Metal band - Wizardrone. Now he is forging ahead with his latest creation - God's Speed.

This is what he had to say about his work.

The "Wizardrone" project technically came to an end last year, but have recently decided to reinstate the project upon the advice of a good friend of mine Ed Barnard of Doommantia. Both the "God's Speed" and the "Wizardrone" projects are signed to Ed's Doom Metal Alliance Records label and the debut album for God's Speed titled "...And This Will Soon Pass" will be available April 17, 2012 on both CD and in digital download format from Bandcamp.

Well you know if Ed of Doommantia is involved you know its going to be good. And you know what. It fucking is. Their new album "...And This Will Soon Pass" is a 70 minute plus epic of amazing sublime Doom/Stoner/Sludge Riffs with a great haunting psych based edge.

The album has a truly haunting atmosphere with Jason's excellent vocals to match. It has its fair share of epic tracks. Especially "Lura", "The Misery Of Company", "The Outcast" but my fave track is the 12 minute plus epic "The Wait".

This song goes through so many emotions that you will be listening to this track over and over again. The purchase is worth it alone for this brilliant track.

The album is brilliantly produced. It's hard to believe this is the work of one man but Jason is an amazing multi-instrumentalist. One of the best if not the best one-man band I have heard. He is that fucking good.
