Low Gravity - Incarnadine Review

Incarnadine Cover Art

Low Gravity is a Sludge/Stoner Metal Band from Denver, Colorado, USA.

The members are:

Jess Ellis: Guitar
Devin Ferguson: Bass/Vocals
Adam Mullins: Drums/Vocals
Austin Williams: Guitar

Low Gravity play a great blend of Sludge, Stoner Metal to heavy brutal effect. Taking influence from Baroness, Kylesa, High On Fire and other great bands of that ilk.

They released their superb debut S/T EP in 2010 which is available for free download from BandCamp right now.

Well the guys are back with their proper debut full length album - Incarnadine. A 6 song and 46 minute blast of brilliant hard rocking Sludge/Stoner Riffage.

If you into epic Sludge/Stoner Metal then this is the album for you. 5 of the tracks run past the 7 to 8 minute mark. This is a band that takes it time showing the listener what they can do. Playing hard-hitting Sludge/Stoner Metal riffs with some great dual twin guitar Thin Lizzy type worship.

These guys remind me of sadly missed Welsh Sludge/Stoner Rockers - TAINT. They play the same sort of Sludge/Stoner Metal where it goes from one genre to the next and back again with relevant ease.

Low Gravity are brilliant musicians and prove it time and time again on this outstanding release.

The album is expertly co-produced by the band themselves. A bold move but a wise one as well. All of the songs sound loud, epic and heavy as fuck. So great work on that score guys.

All of the tracks are superbly written and performed that will have you begging for more. Or pressing the repeat button in quick succession.

My fave track has to be "Blood Fine". As it blends all of their influences but done Low Gravity style. It is an 8 minute thrill ride of hard-hitting Sludge/Stoner Metal riffs with a great story to t ell.

Low Gravity should be proud of this record as they have done a fantastic job in releasing a top-notch album that will be getting some major praise coming their way. Fucking Brilliant.

Highly Recommended. You can buy this amazing album for the low price of $3 from BandCamp right now. And at that price its a god-damn steal. Go do it now. Show this band your support. They deserve it.
