Nomadic Rituals - Holy Giants

Holy Giants cover art

Nomadic Rituals is a 3-piece Doom-Sludge-Metal Band from Belfast, Northern Ireland

The members are:

Craig: Bass & Vocals
Peter: Guitar
Mark: Drums

Now here is loud and brutal Sludge/Doom Metal Band called Nomadic Rituals which you all need to check out. I am a bit late to the party with these guys which I can only apologise for as they emailed me a while back.

So here I am checking out their brilliant new album - Holy Giants. A 5-song epic running for 47 minutes or so. Nomadic Rituals play slow epic bleak dirge ridden Doom/Sludge Metal riffs powerful enough to wake up the dead.

It's a gut-wrenching listen with Craig out-screaming all of the competition. Damn his vocals must of been damaged when recording this excellent album as you can feel his pain!!!! -

First track - Don't Fuck With Giants - is an almost 9 minute monster which could easily rank as one of the heaviest tracks of 2013. It's slow, epic, brutal and heavy. The band take their time here so if you're expecting fast riffs you will be in for a long wait. Nomadic Rituals take their time building up the atmosphere before unleashing hell on earth.

Though they do speed things up a bit on excellent 2nd track - The Grey - with Craig singing his demonic message of evil and destruction. His bandmates - Peter & Mark - superbly providing him with some crunching riffs to work with on guitars and drums respectively.

The album has an evil Black Metal twisted Stoner Metal feel so you get plenty of crunching Stoner Metal riffs thrown in for good measure. Nomadic Rituals sound like a twisted and more evil version of Electric Wizard but still showing signs of originality of their own.

Holy Giants is a fucking must have. It's loud, powerful and rocks like a mutha-fucka from the word go. I loved every dark twisted second of it. Just headover to BandCamp and download this now on Buy Now Deal. You won't be sorry.
